Cikarang, June 30, 2026 – The locally produced Indonesian residential AC series, DAiKin Nusantara Prestige, has officially secured a TKDN (Domestic Component Level) certificate with a value exceeding 60%. According to the official website of the Ministry of Industry (https://tkdn.kemenperin.go.id/), this achievement establishes the DAiKin Nusantara Prestige as the residential AC with the highest TKDN rating in Indonesia to date.
The official recognition of this TKDN rating was marked by a certificate handover ceremony held today (June 30) at PT Daikin Industries Indonesia (DIID). Presented directly by Kris Sasono Ngudi Wibowo, Head of the Center for the Promotion of Domestic Product Usage (P4DN), he expressed his appreciation for DAiKin’s ongoing commitment to increasing local content in DAiKin ACs manufactured in Indonesia.
The DAiKin Nusantara Prestige marks the first residential AC series produced in Indonesia by the brand. It features three models: two inverter units, namely the ALPHA Inverter and BETA Inverter, and one non-inverter unit designated as SMS. These three models, available in various cooling capacity variants, are manufactured at PT Daikin Industries Indonesia, located within the Greenland International Industrial Center (GIIC) in Kota Deltamas, Central Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java.
As a manufacturing facility, PT Daikin Industries Indonesia holds the distinction of being Indonesia’s first fully scaled residential AC plant. With an investment reaching IDR 3.3 trillion, this DAiKin AC factory is equipped with Japanese technology and stringent quality standards throughout its production process, covering everything from raw materials to finished products.
Commenting on DAiKin’s success in achieving this high TKDN rating, Hideki Joh, President Director of PT Daikin Industries Indonesia, attributed the achievement to DAiKin’s technological excellence and capabilities as a global air conditioning specialist with over a century of experience, now fully realized in its Indonesian manufacturing facilities. Furthermore, DAiKin has been a trusted provider of air conditioning solutions in Indonesia for more than 55 years.
“This high TKDN achievement reflects DAiKin’s ability to synergize manufacturing capabilities with local component development, while strictly maintaining the Japanese quality standards we uphold, to continue delivering the best air conditioning solutions for the Indonesian people,” stated Hideki Joh.
On another note, DAiKin’s TKDN milestone also serves as a tangible demonstration of the company’s contribution to the development of the domestic industry. According to Budi Mulia, Director of PT Daikin Industries Indonesia, this contribution extends beyond merely utilizing domestic components.
It also encompasses DAiKin’s initiative to integrate Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) into its supply chain, particularly as suppliers of raw materials and logistics. “This makes the DAiKin Nusantara Prestige’s achievement of securing the highest current TKDN rating significant. It positions the residential AC not only as a product designed around the needs of Indonesian consumers, but also as a true catalyst for national progress through the advancement of the domestic industry,” added Budi Mulia.
Elaborating further, Budi Mulia expressed his hope that PT Daikin Industries Indonesia’s successful TKDN certification will serve as an inspiration, particularly for electronics manufacturers in Indonesia. He noted that as more industries commit to raising their TKDN values, the resilience of the national industrial sector will grow stronger, paving the way for sustainable corporate expansion moving forward.
