Palembang, September 28 – Beyond focusing on the development and marketing of HVAC solutions in Indonesia, PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) is also actively engaging in community social initiatives. Recently, the country’s leading air conditioner brand brought this commitment to life through an AC cleaning and maintenance drive at several interfaith places of worship in Palembang and its surrounding areas.

“We hope this initiative will provide and enhance comfort for the people of Palembang during their worship activities,” stated Andy Hermanto, Branch Manager of DAIKIN for the Palembang region. He further explained that this effort aligns with one of DAIKIN’s core visions to make a greater contribution to the communities where it operates.

Scheduled to conclude around the end of this month, the program has already seen 157 AC units undergo thorough cleaning and maintenance. These units are installed across various religious sites in Palembang, including mosques, churches, and Buddhist temples.

This social initiative by DAIKIN is not an isolated event but part of a broader campaign titled “Comfortable Worship with DAIKIN.” As one of DAIKIN’s key social action pillars, the program specifically targets the upkeep and maintenance of air conditioning units in places of worship, living up to its name.

Andy Hermanto further clarified that the AC cleaning under the “Comfortable Worship with DAIKIN” program in Palembang is not limited to places of worship using DAIKIN units. “From the outset, this activity was designed independently from our after-sales service or marketing efforts. Our primary focus is simply to ensure comfortable environments for worshippers by applying DAIKIN’s expertise in climate control,” he added.

Working alongside local partners, DAIKIN collaborated with two major professional associations representing HVAC practitioners and technicians in Palembang: the Indonesian Refrigeration and HVAC Technicians Association (ASISI) and the Indonesian Cooling and HVAC Practitioners Association (APITU).

Regarding future social engagements, Andy Hermanto noted that DAIKIN in Palembang remains committed to developing various initiatives aimed at supporting community welfare. “As public trust continues to position DAIKIN as Indonesia’s leading AC brand, we feel a strong responsibility to deepen our contributions to the communities where we operate,” concluded Andy Hermanto.
