PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia continues to demonstrate its commitment to developing technician competency. Recently, in line with efforts to expand the adoption of the Nusantara Prestige AC series—the first Indonesian-made residential AC lineup—DAIKIN hosted a specialized training session for technicians in Solo and its surrounding regions. A total of 180 participants attended the event, which took place on October 31, 2025.
The training curriculum was structured around three core modules. First, participants received an overview of the company’s history and growth, alongside insights into DAIKIN’s new manufacturing facility in Cikarang, which serves as the production hub for the Nusantara Prestige AC series. Additionally, attendees were provided with a comprehensive introduction to the three models within the Nusantara Prestige lineup.
Beyond the introductory sessions, the program featured hands-on technical training focused on the proper installation of the Nusantara Prestige AC units, system balancing, and troubleshooting common issues. Collaborating with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Indonesian Social Security Agency for Employment), DAIKIN also delivered essential workplace safety guidelines tailored for HVAC installation professionals.
Attendees included members from two major industry associations representing refrigeration and air conditioning experts and technicians: ASISI and APITU. The participant list also comprised freelance technicians and authorized DAIKIN dealer partners. Beyond the impressive turnout, strong regional interest was evident through registrations from across the Greater Solo area, including Sragen, Boyolali, Klaten, Wonogiri, Purwokerto, Banjarnegara, Kebumen, and Grobogan.
To foster engagement and practical understanding, the event featured a “Trouble Shooting Fun Games” activity, allowing participants to practice rapid technical problem-solving in a simulated environment. The program also concluded with a traditional Barashi ceremony, symbolizing camaraderie and appreciation for the ongoing contributions of technicians in the field.
The Q&A session proved highly interactive, with attendees raising several key questions, including:
- Warranty claim procedures for Nusantara Prestige units
- Electrical installation safety standards for AC systems
- Best practices for mounting indoor and outdoor units on building walls
- Local Content (TKDN) requirements and their benefits for both technicians and end-users
Through this training initiative, DAIKIN aims to equip technicians with advanced skills in handling the Nusantara Prestige AC series to the highest standards, ultimately ensuring maximum customer satisfaction. Moving forward, DAIKIN will continue to expand similar training programs, reinforcing its corporate commitment to elevating service quality and enhancing the overall user experience of DAIKIN air conditioning systems across Indonesia.
