Jakarta – PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) reaffirms its commitment to advancing national education by serving as a strategic partner of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen). This dedication was highlighted through DAIKIN’s participation in the activation of the Universal Participation Movement for Quality Education, hosted by Kemendikdasmen in Jakarta on July 6.
Representing DAIKIN at the event, Budi Mulia, Vice President Director of PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia, had the honor of directly participating in the ceremonial activation. Alongside Abdul Mu’ti, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, and his team, Budi Mulia performed the symbolic bell-ringing ritual to mark the official launch of the national movement.
The trust placed in PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia during this ceremony stems from the company’s tangible initiatives aimed at improving vocational education quality in Indonesia. A key example is the flagship DAIKIN Center of Excellence (COE) program, which focuses on enhancing teacher and student competencies through upgraded practical laboratory facilities, curriculum enrichment supported by guest instructor sessions, and upskilling and reskilling programs for educators in refrigeration and air conditioning technology.
Throughout its implementation in 2025–2026, DAIKIN’s support for vocational education has reached 39 educational institutions across various regions in Indonesia. This includes competency development for 603 instructors and 6,173 students.
The Universal Participation Movement for Quality Education is a Kemendikdasmen initiative designed to strengthen collaboration between the government and various stakeholders to enhance Indonesia’s education ecosystem through active participation from businesses, industries, communities, and the public. This is partly achieved through the creation of a dedicated digital platform.
Through this platform, each stakeholder will gain transparent access to real-time data on the actual needs of educational units scattered throughout Indonesia. These needs range from teaching tools and instructional materials to competency enhancement and the revitalization of educational facilities. Ultimately, this aims to foster more extensive and targeted collaborations between Kemendikdasmen and various stakeholders to elevate the quality of national education.
