Following its official introduction in late June, PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DID) has commenced the mass distribution of the Nusantara Prestige, marking the debut of Daikin’s locally manufactured residential air conditioner line. To commemorate this milestone, 2,000 Nusantara Prestige units were officially released during a simple symbolic event at the company’s manufacturing facility in Cikarang, West Java, on July 16, 2025.
This launch symbolizes Daikin’s readiness to expand the distribution network for the Nusantara Prestige in response to the growing demand from Indonesian consumers. The initial distribution phase will prioritize regions covered by Daikin’s 17 branch offices nationwide.
As Daikin’s first locally produced residential AC series in Indonesia, the Nusantara Prestige lineup features three primary models: the ALPHA Inverter and BETA Inverter, both utilizing inverter technology, alongside a standard AC model known as the Super Mini Split (SMS).
Beyond their individual feature sets, the standout advantage of the Nusantara Prestige series lies in its manufacturing at Indonesia’s first fully scaled residential AC production plant. With every stage, from raw material selection to final product readiness, conducted domestically, the series achieves an average Domestic Component Level (TKDN) score of up to 40%.
