DAIKIN Supports School Supplies Through the 'School of Happiness' Program

Aligning with its business growth in Indonesia, PT. Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) continues to demonstrate its commitment to community development. Recently, this commitment was realized through the company's support in providing uniforms and school supply packages for students.

"Through this support, we hope to strengthen the self-confidence and learning enthusiasm of the child recipients," said Shinji Miyata, Director of PT. Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia. He added that this initiative also reflects DAIKIN's backing of BenihBaik's social program, "School of Happiness," which is specifically designed to provide school supplies to students to enhance their academic motivation.

Specifically, the DAIKIN assistance comprises 272 packages containing uniforms and school supplies, including shoes and bags. The distribution reached four elementary schools across three districts. Students at SD Negeri 03 Jatimulya were among the beneficiaries, while the other three schools are located within East Java: SD Bina Karya in Surabaya, as well as SD Negeri Gebang 2 and SDN Sawohan 2, both situated in Sidoarjo.

This collaborative social effort between DAIKIN and BenihBaik stems from the DAIKIN Annual Charity Golf 2024 held last September. The tournament carried a mission to contribute to Indonesian community development through fundraising activities.

Through this initiative, DAIKIN invited all business partners to participate in financial contributions. A total of IDR 150 million was raised from participants and partner companies. These funds were converted into uniform and school supply packages to support the BenihBaik program, which was designated as the distribution partner.

Furthermore, Shinji Miyata expressed his gratitude to all business partners and the BenihBaik foundation for their participation. "As we witness the growing enthusiasm among the student recipients, we hope this initiative serves as an example of positive collaboration initiated by businesses and their partners to further improve the quality of life for the Indonesian community in the future," concluded Shinji Miyata.
