Jakarta – Continuing its mission to provide innovative air conditioning solutions across Indonesia, PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (Daikin) once again showcases its social initiatives. During the 2nd Daikin Charity Golf held last Saturday (July 30) at Sedayu Indo Golf in Pantai Indah Kapuk, the Japanese AC specialist announced its support for the development of Indonesia’s tourism sector.
The symbolic handover was received by Restog Krisna Kusuma, Chief Inspector at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. He stated that during the ceremony, the IDR 100 million contribution would be allocated toward improving and developing tourist attractions and related programs across Indonesia.
“We hope this support will contribute to the recovery of the tourism sector, which remains one of the key drivers of Indonesia’s economy,” said Restog Krisna Kusuma, Chief Inspector at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, during the handover. He further noted that this contribution reflects Daikin’s continuous efforts to engage more deeply in community welfare. “Being part of Indonesia means our commitment to contributing further to the progress of its people,” added Ching Khim Huat, President Director of PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia.

Alongside other Daikin social initiatives in Indonesia, such as educational development and direct social aid for underprivileged communities, the Daikin Charity Golf has been designed since its inception in 2020 as an annual corporate agenda that emphasizes synergy and sharing.
The synergy element refers to how the event is structured as a platform for stakeholders involved in building air conditioning systems across Indonesia to connect and collaborate. This collaboration is evident not only in the organizers—a joint effort between PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia and PT Daikin Applied Solution Indonesia—but also in the diverse range of participants. In addition to dealers, the tournament brings together contractors, building owners, architects, developers, and consultants from various specializations.
Regarding the support handed over to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Ching Khim Huat explained that beyond being a corporate contribution, it also aims to further inspire these stakeholders to take proactive roles. “By delivering this support to the Ministry’s representatives, we hope to encourage broader participation from all parties in advancing Indonesia’s community development moving forward,” Ching Khim Huat concluded.
