The annual competition celebrating residential design with a strong focus on indoor climate control, the DAIKIN Designer Award 2024, has officially entered its judging phase. From October 22–25, live judging sessions were conducted for the top 35 finalists across all categories featured in this DAIKIN Proshop-hosted competition.
Held at the headquarters of PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) in Menara Astra, Jakarta, the judging process utilized a hybrid format. This approach offered flexibility for finalists to either present their concepts in person before the jury or participate via virtual connection.
The evaluation covered all contest categories within the DAIKIN Designer Award 2024. These include Conceptual Residential Architecture and Interior Design for students/university level, Conceptual F&B and Residential Architecture for professionals, Conceptual F&B and Residential Interior Design for professionals, as well as the Finished Project category, which assesses completed installations utilizing the Daikin Home Central air conditioning system as the core indoor climate solution.
All designated jury members attended the live judging sessions. Alongside Wenky Handono as the DAIKIN representative, Tan Tik Lam from the Indonesian Institute of Architects West Java Chapter, Alex Bayusaputro representing the Indonesian Interior Designers Association Jakarta Capital Region Chapter, and Daniel Mananta, a prominent Indonesian celebrity, joined as a guest judge.
The complete DAIKIN Designer Award 2024 program will culminate in an award ceremony gala. As scheduled, the main event will take place on November 28, 2024.
