Earlier this month, DAIKIN welcomed a delegation of executives, lecturers, and researchers from the Directorate of Science and Technology Area at the Bandung Institute of Technology (DKST ITB). This visit reflects DAIKIN’s initiative to further explore and strengthen collaborative ties with academic institutions.
During the visit, the DKST ITB representatives had the opportunity to tour PT Daikin Industries Indonesia (DIID), DAIKIN’s newest production facility dedicated to residential air conditioning manufacturing in Cikarang, West Java. Participants observed the advanced operational workflows and real-time energy consumption monitoring at Indonesia’s first fully integrated residential AC plant, which handles the entire production process from raw materials to finished products.
As part of the itinerary, the ITB academics also visited DAIKIN’s headquarters in Jakarta (PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia). The delegation was given a guided tour of the specially designed office space, which showcases various DAIKIN products integrated throughout different areas. This setup functions as a live showroom demonstrating DAIKIN’s innovative superiority in creating indoor climate systems that prioritize both occupant comfort and health support.
Hosted directly by DAIKIN management, the visit also featured discussions aimed at exploring strategic cooperation opportunities between DAIKIN as an industry leader and academic experts.
