Held from April 14 to 16, PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia organized a specialized training program for students at SMKN 1 Cimahi in West Java. A total of 87 students participated in this intensive session. Focusing on the maintenance and troubleshooting of residential AC units, the training was specifically designed to expand students' technical insights and enhance their practical competencies.
To align with these objectives, all participants were required to take assessments both before and after the training to measure their grasp of the material delivered. The instructional approach seamlessly blended theoretical concepts with hands-on exercises, utilizing DAIKIN AC units available in the school’s dedicated practice laboratory.
This collaboration is made possible through SMKN 1 Cimahi’s partnership with DAIKIN under the DAIKIN Center of Excellence (CoE) initiative for vocational high schools. Aimed at elevating the quality of vocational education in Indonesia, particularly in the HVAC sector, the program provides fully equipped learning laboratories featuring the latest AC units. To further support this ecosystem, DAIKIN delivers industry-aligned curriculum enhancements alongside scheduled annual training and competency assessments for both students and instructors.
Through the CoE program, DAIKIN aims to produce highly skilled SMK graduates with strong technical competencies and job readiness, effectively bridging industry requirements with educational outcomes through sustained link-and-match initiatives.
