As part of its ongoing commitment to developing the skills and competencies of air conditioning educators in Jakarta and its surrounding areas, PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia organized an Upskilling & Reskilling program for vocational high school (SMK) teachers and vocational training center (BLK) instructors across Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek).

Held from October 20–22, the program was attended by 25 participants representing 11 vocational high schools and one vocational training center across the Jabodetabek area.

The training sessions ran from morning until afternoon each day. In addition to classroom-based learning, participants had the opportunity to enhance and update their knowledge and technical skills in air conditioning through hands-on practice. This was made possible by the comprehensive training equipment available at the DAIKIN National Training Center in Sunter, North Jakarta, where the program took place.

The training covered three main subject areas: Basic Air Conditioning, Basic P-h and Psychrometric Chart, and Troubleshooting for Inverter Residential Air Conditioners.

One distinctive feature of the program was the pre-test and post-test assessment conducted before and after the training. By using the same set of questions, DAIKIN aimed to measure participants' improvement in understanding and knowledge throughout the program. DAIKIN is pleased to see the participants achieve high average scores in the final assessment.

Through this initiative, DAIKIN hopes to provide a meaningful platform for expanding knowledge and developing the technical capabilities of educators and instructors in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry, ultimately contributing to the advancement of vocational education in Indonesia.
