JAKARTA — PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the standardization of competencies among air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. Its latest initiative involves providing the DAIKIN National Training Center in Sunter, North Jakarta, as the venue for the first competency assessment conducted by LSP Teknik Pendingin PERPRINDO on October 29, 2026.

The event was attended by representatives of the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. On this occasion, Shinji Miyata, President Director of PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia, stated that this support reflects DAIKIN’s commitment to maintaining quality through the continuous development of technician competencies.

With more than 100 years of global experience and over 50 years of presence in Indonesia, DAIKIN believes that the quality of air conditioning services is closely determined by the expertise and skills of technical professionals.

This commitment is demonstrated through 18 training and assessment facilities that meet the standards of Competency Assessment Centers (TUK) across DAIKIN branch offices, which are also accessible to technician associations. DAIKIN further supports competency development through its Center of Excellence initiatives at vocational schools and Vocational Training Centers (BLK), providing curriculum enrichment, industry guest lectures, and learning facilities.

Through its collaboration with PERPRINDO, DAIKIN hopes to further strengthen synergies among the government, associations, and industry stakeholders in expanding professional certification opportunities and continuously improving technician competencies. These collective efforts are expected to contribute to the advancement of the industry and the delivery of better-quality services to the community.
