Welcoming the blessed month of Ramadan under a new post-pandemic atmosphere, various organizations are stepping up to share kindness and joy. One of them is PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia, widely recognized as the manufacturer of DAIKIN air conditioning systems.

In collaboration with the Benih Baik Indonesia Foundation (BenihBaik.com), DAIKIN will distribute IDR 1.25 billion in donations through its 'Roda-Roda Ramadan' program. This commitment was formally presented directly to Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini.

“This collaboration embodies our company’s annual social agenda to reach out to those in need across regions where DAIKIN operates in Indonesia,” stated Budi Mulia, Director of PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia.

Budi Mulia explained that the aid distribution will cover 17 points across Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi, all taking place simultaneously on April 1, 2023.

Beyond the nine basic necessities, donation packages will also include school supplies and assistive devices for persons with disabilities. In addition to direct handovers to low-income communities, the donations will be distributed to orphanages, nursing homes, and disability care centers.

Roda-Roda Ramadan is DAIKIN’s branding for one of the company’s annual social initiatives. Launched in 2021, this marks its third year of implementation. Coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan each year, DAIKIN continues to expand the program, increasing the volume of aid, expanding geographic coverage, and broadening the categories of beneficiaries.

“We aim for DAIKIN’s presence to be recognized as a force for positive change within the communities we serve, aligning with our continued growth in Indonesia,” added Budi Mulia.

A notable aspect of each campaign is the direct involvement of DAIKIN employees, from frontline staff to top management. Their participation spans from preparing and packing aid packages to personally delivering them to the communities.

Furthermore, DAIKIN invites its network of business partner dealers to join the distribution efforts. According to Budi Mulia, this aligns with the program’s objective to foster a shared sense of social responsibility across the entire DAIKIN family in Indonesia.

Expanding on this, Budi expressed his hope that the partnership with BenihBaik.com, rooted in a shared dedication to community contribution, will also inspire and empower the aid recipients.

“Partnering with BenihBaik.com, a highly reputable foundation dedicated to community development, is crucial to ensuring that these charitable efforts accurately reach our brothers and sisters in need,” concluded Budi Mulia.
