PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) continues to foster collaborations with various institutions to further contribute to the advancement of vocational education. Recently, the company explored expanding its partnership with the Center for Development and Quality Assurance of Vocational Education in Building and Electrical Fields (BBPPMPV BBL). This initiative was highlighted during the Coordination Meeting on the Development and Quality Assurance of Special and Special Service Vocational Education (PKPLK) hosted by BBPPMPV BBL in Medan, North Sumatra, on February 25–27, 2026.
Representing the air conditioning industry, DAIKIN joined relevant institutions to explore collaboration opportunities aimed at enhancing vocational educator competency. Key initiatives include internship programs for educators, curriculum synchronization with industry demands, and continuous teacher competency development.
As a follow-up, BBPPMPV BBL will conduct further discussions with DAIKIN through its Medan branch office. These sessions will focus on detailing a formal Cooperation Agreement (PKS) to govern partnerships aimed at upgrading the skills of SMK teachers.
Meanwhile, representatives from various vocational high schools (SMK) across different regions have also expressed similar plans to engage with DAIKIN. Their objective is to explore cooperation in the form of training programs, guest instructor initiatives, and curriculum alignment.
Through this growing and strengthening synergy with various stakeholders, DAIKIN aims to increase the number of highly skilled instructors and ensure that SMK graduates' competencies remain fully aligned with industry requirements.
