The high concentration of factories in the Bekasi, Cikarang, and Karawang regions has prompted PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia to expand its educational outreach on Inverter-based AC systems and eco-friendly refrigerants. Through its DAIKIN Bekasi branch, the specialized air conditioning solutions provider hosted a direct meeting with 16 industry representatives on September 24.
This event was driven by DAIKIN’s observation that many factories still rely on Non-Inverter ACs paired with high Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants. Meanwhile, as Indonesia commits to reaching Net Zero Emissions by 2060, transitioning from Non-Inverter to Inverter AC technology has become an unavoidable step for industrial sustainability.
“This educational emphasis highlights Inverter ACs not just as a technical solution for modernizing factory air conditioning systems, but as a strategic necessity,” said Aditya Prabowo, Branch Manager of DAIKIN for the Bekasi region and surrounding areas. “Choosing Inverter ACs must be viewed as part of a broader strategy to achieve more efficient factory operations focused on carbon emission reduction.”
According to him, this is due to the well-established reputation of Inverter AC technology, which is widely recognized for its superior electricity consumption efficiency compared to Non-Inverter units. When combined with the use of eco-friendly refrigerants, Inverter ACs deliver both cost-effective operational savings and environmental benefits.
Beyond the event itself, DAIKIN Bekasi announced its intention to maintain ongoing communication with industry stakeholders to further expand this educational initiative.
