PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) has expressed its readiness to strengthen collaboration with the Indonesian Association of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Practitioners (APITU). This initiative aims to further develop the competence of air conditioning technicians throughout Indonesia.
"Competency enhancement is essential given the central role of technicians, which aligns with the development and challenges of the air conditioning industry, particularly in Indonesia," stated Shinji Miyata, President Director of PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia, during the APITU Berbagi XIII event at Robinson Resort Cisarua, Bogor (August 13). He noted that technicians directly interact with end-users within this industrial solution business flow. "Given their position, technicians play a pivotal role in driving user satisfaction," he added.
Shinji Miyata further explained that DAIKIN's collaboration with APITU on technician competency development has been established for years. It ranges from various year-round training sessions tailored to technicians' specific needs, to the utilization of DAIKIN's training facilities located at its branch offices for conducting APITU's competency assessments.
Building on these tangible collaborations with APITU to elevate technician competencies, Shinji Miyata reaffirmed DAIKIN's commitment to continuously expand these initiatives in the future. This aligns with the Indonesian government's ongoing efforts to promote competency standardization and certification for workers across their respective fields, including refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
