Jakarta, January 28 – As part of the company’s initiative to enhance human resources by bridging the gap between industry and education, PT. Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) delivered a guest lecture at Universitas Pamulang in Tangerang today (Jan 28). Beyond presenting the latest innovations and insights into the air conditioning solutions industry, the Japanese HVAC specialist also showcased career opportunities for the attendees, who were predominantly final-year university students in the Tangerang area.
“Inspiring students about the HVAC solutions industry as part of their preparation for entering the workforce is the primary goal of this special lecture session,” stated Stefanus, Branch Manager for DAIKIN in the Tangerang region and surrounding areas. He noted that this objective drives DAIKIN’s approach of combining industry development insights with direct career pathways within the company in Indonesia.
This special lecture visit by DAIKIN at Universitas Pamulang is actually part of the broader “Daikin Goes To Campus” program. Operating as one of several initiatives under Daikin’s commitment to contributing more to Indonesian society through education, the program runs continuously throughout the year across various higher education institutions nationwide.
During the event at Universitas Pamulang, over one hundred students attended the session held at Room Anggrek II, 8th Floor Viktor Building on campus. Alongside bringing in subject matter experts, DAIKIN also invited staff members who are Universitas Pamulang alumni to share their professional experiences working at the company. “By having alumni speak directly, we hope to inspire them regarding career prospects and provide a clear roadmap for their professional journeys after graduation,” added Stefanus.
The detailed curriculum of the session covered the evolution of air conditioning equipment for residential and commercial buildings, as well as room HVAC design principles. The room design segment went beyond theoretical knowledge, incorporating an interactive workshop where participants used DAIKIN software to calculate thermal loads and design optimal air conditioning systems for specific spaces.
Concluding his remarks on the execution of the Daikin Goes To Campus program at Universitas Pamulang, Stefanus expressed his appreciation to the university’s leadership. “We hope that this collaboration between industry and education for human resource development will continue to thrive in the years to come,” Stefanus concluded.
