Coinciding with last month’s Ramadan, DAIKIN distributed over 1,000 basic necessities (sembako) packages to underserved communities. Targeting several areas in West Java and DKI Jakarta, this year’s distribution was organized as a joint initiative by the company’s two Indonesian entities: PT DAIKIN Airconditioning Indonesia (DID) and PT DAIKIN Industries Indonesia (DIID).
Held simultaneously on March 25, the distribution took place under the company’s annual flagship program, Roda-Roda Ramadan. True to its name, the initiative is specifically designed to roll out every Ramadan. Throughout previous editions, DAIKIN has received consistent appreciation and formal recognition from government bodies. In addition to acknowledgments from the Ministry of Social Affairs, DAIKIN was previously honored by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan for its commitment to providing protection for vulnerable workers.
For this year’s edition, the company focused its distribution across three primary locations. In addition to Muara Angke and South Jakarta, the packages were also delivered to residents of Pasirranji village in Central Cikarang, West Java. The selection of Pasirranji as a distribution site was partly strategic, given its proximity to DAIKIN’s newest residential AC manufacturing plant located in the Central Cikarang industrial area.
DAIKIN hopes that through this program, it can bring joy and relief to the recipient communities. Simultaneously, it aims to foster a stronger culture of social responsibility and community engagement among all its employees across Indonesia.
