Starting the year with a focus on corporate social responsibility, DAIKIN opened its initiatives by supporting the Sejahterakan Pekerja Di Sekitar Anda (SERTAKAN) campaign, an initiative under BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.
As a tangible demonstration of this support, DAIKIN contributed IDR 2.5 billion, which will be fully converted into protection coverage for more than 12,000 vulnerable workers. This coverage includes Work Accident Insurance (JKK) and Death Benefit (JKM).
The symbolic donation was presented during a modest ceremony held at the BPJAMSOSTEK Building in Jakarta on January 8. Representing the company were senior management executives from PT Daikin Industries Indonesia.
PT Daikin Industries Indonesia serves as the legal entity overseeing DAIKIN’s residential AC manufacturing operations in the country. Commencing operations late last year, this facility, with an investment value of IDR 3.3 trillion, stands as Indonesia’s first full-scale residential AC plant capable of handling the entire production process from raw materials to finished products.
