Coinciding with National Customer Day on September 4, PT. Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) received an award from the Social Security Implementing Agency for Employment (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan). The award recognizes DAIKIN’s social initiatives as a Japanese air conditioning solutions group dedicated to enhancing the welfare of vulnerable workers in Indonesia.
The award ceremony was held in a simple yet meaningful setting at DAIKIN’s headquarters in Menara Astra, located along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jakarta. Presented by Helena Siboro, Head of the Jakarta Gambir Branch Service Division at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, the recognition was accepted directly by Budi Mulia, Director of PT. Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia.
This recognition stems from DAIKIN’s corporate support for the Vulnerable Worker Protection Program initiated by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan earlier this March. A total of IDR 2.5 billion was contributed during the event, which was subsequently converted into work accident and death insurance coverage for 12,401 vulnerable workers across Indonesia. According to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, the substantial value of this contribution has set a new record for DAIKIN as the corporation with the highest contribution to vulnerable workers in Indonesia to date.
In light of this appreciation, DAIKIN remains motivated to continuously develop various social initiatives aimed at further enhancing the quality of life for Indonesians in the years ahead. Touching upon multiple aspects of community welfare, these efforts will continue to grow in tandem with the company’s expansion in Indonesia.
