Beyond its focus on innovation, PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (Daikin) continues to demonstrate its commitment to the community, particularly in North Sumatra and Aceh. Through the "Comfortable Worship with Daikin" initiative, the Japanese air conditioning specialist is providing complimentary air conditioner maintenance services at 65 interfaith places of worship in the Medan and Aceh regions.
"This initiative reflects Daikin's commitment to delivering comfort through our core expertise in air conditioning," stated Charly Widjaja, Branch Manager for North Sumatra and surrounding regions. He expressed his hope that this program will enhance the overall worship experience for the community.
Scheduled to run throughout December following its official launch mid-month, the program targets 65 interfaith places of worship for complimentary air conditioning maintenance. According to Charly Widjaja, the service is open to all facilities regardless of whether they use Daikin units or other brands.
This approach aligns with the broader objectives of the "Comfortable Worship with Daikin" program, which is integrated into Daikin’s annual corporate social responsibility agenda across Indonesia. "This is not a promotional or marketing campaign; it is a genuine corporate social initiative aimed at making a meaningful contribution to community welfare, particularly in the regions where Daikin operates," emphasized Charly Widjaja.
To ensure high-quality execution, Charly Widjaja noted that Daikin has partnered with the Indonesian Association of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Practitioners (APITU). This collaboration with a leading industry body not only guarantees that all cleaning and maintenance are performed by certified professionals but also serves as a capacity-building initiative for Daikin’s local network of partners and technicians.
"While our primary goal is to ensure a comfortable environment for worshippers, we also view this program as an opportunity to strengthen community ties and empower our partner network to deliver superior service standards across North Sumatra and Aceh," added Charly Widjaja.
Looking ahead, Charly Widjaja confirmed that this community-focused initiative extends beyond complimentary AC cleaning. Daikin has already outlined several upcoming programs designed to further support and enrich community development in the region.
