Supporting the government’s initiative to enhance human resource competency, PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) continues to collaborate with various Vocational High Schools (SMK) and Training Centers (BLK) across Indonesia. The primary objective of this program is to elevate the competency of refrigeration professionals, including educators, students, and technicians.
Throughout last December, DAIKIN hosted at least two training sessions. One of them was dedicated to instructors at SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar. Running for three days starting December 7, the training covered foundational knowledge, installation procedures, and troubleshooting techniques for the Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) system, which remains DAIKIN’s flagship solution for commercial building air conditioning.
Continuing mid-month, DAIKIN visited the Don Bosco Training Center (BLK). During this session, DAIKIN provided specialized training for air conditioning (AC) technicians at the facility located in Tambolaka, Southwest Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara.
Guided directly by DAIKIN experts, each training program was carefully designed to blend in-depth theoretical instruction with hands-on practical exercises. This approach ensures participants acquire comprehensive skills to significantly boost their professional competency.
This collaboration between DAIKIN and vocational schools and training centers is far from sporadic. The Japanese air conditioning specialist has formalized these partnerships through official memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with participating institutions. To date, at least 34 SMKs and 7 BLKs have signed MoUs to collaborate with DAIKIN.
