PT Daikin Industries Indonesia has officially secured a new National Standard of Indonesia (SNI) certificate. The company expressed its readiness to further synergize with the government to drive sustainable, quality-based industrial growth in Indonesia. This was announced by Boonthavee Khamhaeng, President Director of PT Daikin Industries Indonesia, during the certificate handover ceremony hosted by PT SUCOFINDO (PERSERO) in Cikarang.
Issued under Minister of Industry Regulation No. 7 of 2025, this new SNI serves as an update to the previous certificate held since 2024. It aligns with the government’s initiative to ensure product quality and user safety through updated standards that accommodate advancements in science and technology.
“Obtaining this certification, which guarantees product quality and safety for consumers, demonstrates DAIKIN’s tangible synergy with the government in fostering the competitiveness of domestic industries built on continuous quality improvement,” stated Boonthavee Khamhaeng. The new SNI certificate covers all models and cooling capacity variants of the AC Nusantara Prestige, marking DAIKIN’s first locally manufactured residential AC series in Indonesia.
This successful certification is a direct result of the company’s rigorous efforts to maintain quality across every aspect of production. Prior to this, DAIKIN had already implemented the ISO 9001 quality management standard, the ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management system, and the ISO 14001 environmental management standard. This achievement reflects the application of DAIKIN’s global standards across all its manufacturing facilities, fully compliant with prevailing Indonesian regulations.
According to Budi Mulia, Director of PT Daikin Industries Indonesia, the brand’s strong commitment to quality and features tailored to the challenges of AC usage in Indonesia has earned the AC Nusantara Prestige positive feedback since its launch last July. “We hope that with this new SNI certification, the Indonesia-made DAIKIN AC Nusantara Prestige will become an even stronger preferred choice. Not only for consumers, but also for the public sector,” he added.
The certificate handover event was attended by Tri Ligayati, Head of the Industrial Standardization Formulation, Implementation, and Enforcement Center (P4SI) at the Industrial Service Policy and Standardization Agency (BSKJI) under the Ministry of Industry, representing BSKJI Chief Emmy Suryandari. She expressed appreciation for DAIKIN’s commitment and hoped that this certification would further drive sustainable growth and competitiveness within Indonesia’s industrial sector.
Also present at the event was Budi Utomo, Director of Industrial Services at PT SUCOFINDO (PERSERO). As an accredited Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) body by the National Accreditation Committee (KAN), he commended this achievement and expressed his hope that the certificate will help bolster DAIKIN’s positive reputation for both its products and the company in Indonesia moving forward.
