Through Golf Tournaments, Daikin Supports Indonesian Tourism Development
Jakarta – To keep pace with its steps in providing innovative air conditioning solutions in Indonesia, PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (Daikin) has again demonstrated its social initiative. Through the 2nd Daikin Charity Golf event which took place at Sedayu Indo Golf, Pantai Indah Kapuk on last Saturday (30/7), the company, known as a specialist in air conditioning (AC) products from Japan, expressed support for the development of tourism in Indonesia.
This support was received symbolically by Restog Krisna Kusuma as the Main Inspector of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. He said at the time of the handover, this 100 million support would be allocated as part of efforts to improve and develop tourism objects and programs related to them in Indonesia.
"We hope that this support can be part of the recovery of the tourism sector which is one of the drivers of the Indonesian economy," said Restog Krisna Kusuma as Main Inspector of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in the delivery of the support. Furthermore, he said, this support is a manifestation of Daikin's continuous efforts to be able to contribute more to society. "Being part of Indonesia is our commitment to be able to contribute more to the development of its people," Ching Khim Huat, President Director of PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia.
Along with DAIKIN's social initiatives in Indonesia, including in the development of education and direct social action for community groups in need, since the beginning of the event in 2020, Daikin Charity Golf was designed as one of the company's annual activity agendas that prioritizes elements of synergy as well as sharing.
The element of synergy refers to the organizers of this event which was developed as a forum for the opportunity to meet stakeholders related to the air conditioning of various buildings in Indonesia. This synergy can be seen not only from the organizers, which is a collaboration between PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia and PT Daikin Applied Solution Indonesia, but also the variety of participants. In addition to dealers, this tournament also invites contractors, building owners, architects, developers and consultants from various specialties.
While related to the support for the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy conveyed in the activity, according to Ching Khim Huat, besides being a form of company contribution, it is also Daikin's effort to further develop the attitudes of these stakeholders. "By handing over this support to representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, we hope to be able to further mobilize various parties to take part in the development of Indonesian society in the future," said Ching Khim Huat again.
