Daikin Prepares Prospective Company Leaders with Leadership Program

The air conditioning business in Indonesia is expected to continue to grow. Air conditioning manufacturers have also prepared a number of business plans, even though they are currently in a limited situation due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.


Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia, an air conditioning company from Japan, is still preparing a company expansion plan. The company's expansion plan is realized through one of its programs called Daikin Young Shining Star (Daikin YSS). Through Daikin YSS, Daikin prepares potential new leaders, in strengthening and supporting the company's future development plans.


For employees who are selected in the Daikin YSS program, they are required to go through a series of leadership training programs. These potential leaders have the opportunity to accelerate their leadership potential.

Overview of Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia's leadership program

The leadership training program at Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia is designed not only to develop the potential of employees, but also to support the company's business plans.


The participants will be trained on leadership from the basic principles (basics) to the functions of leadership and their role in the company. So that after this training, the participants can implement it according to their respective duties and roles.


The leadership program participants are employees at Supervisor (Spv) level to assistant managers in all divisions. In addition, they were less than 35 years of age, the criteria for indicating the participants.

The training method is designed quite pleasantly. Namely through the method of role play and practice, discussion groups, lectures, mentoring and project presentations.


Some of the basic leadership materials taught include teamwork, communication, empowerment and task delegation, to motivating techniques. In addition, of course, the future leaders were introduced to the values, vision and mission of Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia.


Employees who are selected as Daikin Young Shining Star, will be divided into several groups. Each group will be given a specific task to resolve issues within the company that are still pending. This is done by submitting a proposal from a thorough research. Proposals that meet the criteria will be fully supported and funded for their activities. DAIKIN menggelar program apresiasi bagi teknisi. Bertajuk “ DAIKIN Installer Program ”, berlangsung sepanjang 6 bulan dari 2 Juni, program tersebut digelar bersamaan dengan satu tahun peluncuran AC Nusantara Prestige. “Program ini dirancang untuk memberikan apresiasi bagi para teknisi yang memiliki peran penting dalam kesuksesan penyebaran AC Nusantara Prestige sejak peluncurannya di tahun lalu. Sebagai pihak yang berhadapan langsung dengan pengguna, teknisi mengambil peran penting dalam memastikan kualitas pengerjaan instalasi dan perawatan terbaik bagi pengguna,” ungkap Alexander Eko Wibowo, General Manager Retail Sales PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia. Melalui program ini, DAIKIN memberi insentif khusus bagi tiap teknisi yang melakukan instalasi AC DAIKIN seri Nusantara Prestige. Berlangsung secara nasional selama enam bulan mulai 2 Juni 2026, melalui program ini, Daikin memberikan insentif pada kisaran Rp50.000 hingga Rp100.000 untuk setiap teknisi yang melakukan instalasi salah satu model AC Nusantara Prestige. Nusantara Prestige merupakan AC hunian perdana DAIKIN buatan pabriknya di Indonesia. Diperkenalkan pada Juni tahun lalu, seri AC DAIKIN ini memiliki tiga model. Ketiganya adalah ALPHA Inverter, BETA Inverter, dan SMS.
